Dr. Gerald Bertiger grew up in Hillside, N.J. His professional career has been dedicated to the clinical practice of Gastroenterology. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and attended Hahnemann Medical College. His internship and residency in Internal Medicine were performed at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital, and he completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Bertiger is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Dr. Bertiger treats all gastrointestinal diseases, and has special interests are in the evaluation and treatment of esophageal diseases and motility disorders. When he’s not working he likes to spend time with his wife, and enjoys cycling, cooking and woodworking.
