Dr. Robert Boynton has committed his professional career to the clinical practice of Gastroenterology. He received his undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College, and then attended the Medical College of Pennsylvania, where he also completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine. His fellowship in Gastroenterology was completed at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He taught at the Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly the Medical College of Pennsylvania) until 2003. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Although he treats all gastrointestinal diseases, Dr. Boynton has special interests in colon cancer screening, endoscopic polyp removal and therapeutic endoscopy in the evaluation and treatment of biliary and pancreatic disorders. His personal passions are his family and winemaking, and he also enjoys woodworking and gardening, among other things.
